Brown hareI had a wonderful encounter with this brown hare. As i patiently sat, watching a set, there were a couple of distant hares chasing each other. They came my way and had a bit of a boxing match. Then one of them, still unaware of my presence came very close, probably about ten feet away when I took this shot. Then the wind changed direction, it picked up my sent and heard the shutter and was soon far away!
MooseA female moose browses on leaf buds. She had a calf nearby, so great care was taken to not get too close and disturb the wandering giant.

ChipmunkIn 2018, I had my first trip to the USA and managed to get five days in the Sierra Nevada, predominantly Kings Canyon and Yosemite Valley. One the wildlife I was most looking forward to seeing was chipmunks. Little did I know, how frequently I would see them! Adorable and characterful creatures.
