PenyghentThe lowest of the Yorkshire three peaks. Early morning after a night of light snow flurries just as the sun begun to hit the flanks of the hill.
YgarnThe flanks of Ygarn mountain in Snowdonia. Taken during a rather cold day in early spring. Lovely views from the top of this, though not in this day!
Forest FireA wild windy day, with regular heavy showers was forecast. So I decided to try Otley Chevin one more time this autumn before the forecast winds over a few days, likely brings most of the colour to the woodland floor. The way the leaves are blurred by the strong winds, reminds me of scenes of the devastating forest fires that seem to happen with alarming regularity.

Lone TreeA car stopping moment, when a lone oak tree surrounded by rapeseed in full flower on a lovely warm sunny spring day.
Sligachan BridgeView of the old bridge, whilst stood on the new bridge at Sligachan, Isle of Skye.
Penmon PointTaken the same day as the other Penmon point photograph, using a longer exposure to get some movement on the waves as they crashed in and out.
Middleton WoodsAn early morning trip to Middleton Woods in Ilkley to photograph the wonderful bluebells. One of the best places in West Yorkshire to see the coverage of wonderful spring woodland flowers.
Henside Tree'sA famous copse of tree’s near Henside Road in the Yorkshire Dales.
Final CurtainA late autumn walk whilst Otley Chevin was covered in fog and mist. Towards the end of the walki came across this scene and stopped for a while taking various compositions and eventually settled on this one. Called Final Curtain due to there being very little colour left on the tree’s.
Light on the fallenA fallen beech tree opens the canopy to let cascades of light in, on a foggy summers day.
TwistedAnother one, from the lovely winters day in Malham. At this location, the cloud was thick and low, obliterating any focal point at distance. With these conditions, i decided that lines disappearing into this mist would be a preferred subject and I was standing right next to this wall.
Otley ChevinA wet summers morning, brought in a bank of fog to the woodlands of Otley Chevin. It’s one of my favourite places to explore.

Winter WonderlandA cold snowy morning in the wet woodlands of Malham tarn. First people to be on sight, no human footprints, only marks left by wildlife were present. It was peaceful and magical one of my best days of photography, not only for the images captured but just to be surrounded by beautiful landscape touched by winters grasp.
